A key strength in our operations is our staff members who hold Class A Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL). Having the authority to operate large, heavy vehicles is critical in our work. About You

You thrive on running heavy machines and love the outdoors as much as the work itself.

  • Experienced Operator: 2+ years on forestry mulchers, skid steers, excavators, tracked chippers

  • CDL License: A big bonus—helps us move equipment and boosts your earning potential

  • Chainsaw Skills: Comfortable with felling, limbing, and bucking is a plus

The Work

This isn’t a warehouse gig—it’s real, impactful work in Colorado’s backcountry.

  • Operate heavy equipment: mulchers, excavators, skid steers, tracked chippers, log grapples

  • Assist with saw work and slash cleanup as needed

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and field repairs to keep machines running strong

  • Contribute to wildfire mitigation and land-clearing projects in Colorado’s premier mountain counties (Grand, Summit, Eagle, and beyond)

  • Per diem provided for travel assignments


Requirements

  • 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience (forestry preferred)

  • CDL strongly preferred (bonus pay for licensed operators)

  • Chainsaw/sawyer skills a plus

  • Must be 18+

  • Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle

  • US work authorization

This isn’t punching a clock in some warehouse. This is real work, outdoors, in the Rockies. 

What you’ll do…? Here’s the fun part:

  • Operate big toys: skid steers, mastication heads, excavators, tracked chippers, log grapples.
  • Chainsaw mastery: drop, limb, and buck trees with precision.
  • Slash management: chip it, haul it, burn it, scatter it.
  • Erosion control: contour felling, install erosion barriers.
  • Equipment care: daily inspections + field repairs.
  • Work across Colorado’s best mountain towns (Grand, Summit, Eagle counties, and beyond). Per diem covered when travel is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Sawyer Skills: You know your way around a chainsaw.
  • Heavy Equipment Experience: Hands-on time running forestry skid steers with mulchers, track hoes, excavators, and tracked chippers (2+ years)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Driver’s license & car required
